Turkey down

After a very tough week of hunting these magnificent birds in terrible weather I was lucky enough to take this fine gobbler. I used a Scott Witter Box Call to bring him to the gun. Now I have lots of nice tail feathers for tying my turkey tail nymphs.... right on!

  1. Thats Awesome Doug! I had a tag for the 1st 2 weeks here in Jersey. 1st week was weathered out, and the finally began talking mid-2nd week. Had some great conversations up to about 75yds, but no shots this year. Some I got too aggressive and another just would not cross a powerline.

    Congrats on a fine bird.

  2. I hear they can be like that where they won't cross the simplest of obstacles... Glad you got out to chase them around, Doug.
